Cody Gakpo will miss both of the Netherlands national team's remaining October UEFA Nations League matches after suffering an ankle injury in the Oranje's 2-1 win over Serbia on Sunday, Sept. 27.
Gakpo made it just 17 minutes into the match in Belgrade, with his ankle getting caught between the legs of Serbia midfielder Saša Lukić.

The 27-year-old has returned to Liverpool for further evaluation.
"Gakpo will now return to Liverpool for further assessment by the club’s medical staff at the AXA Training Centre," a statement from Liverpool read.
Gakpo's withdrawl continues what has been a difficult international window for Liverpool's
attack. Alexander Isak also reported for international duty but played just one match for Sweden before returning with a thigh issue. Sweden manager Graham Potter said that injury is a minor one.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola would love to have his full squad fit for the first match back after the break, a marquee tilt on Oct. 11 against Manchester City.
The Reds are unbeaten through five matches in the Premier League season, but sit sixth in the table after starting with two wins and a trio of ties. Manchester City tops the table, having won all five of its matches so far.
The Dutch newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad reported, however, that Gakpo's injury may require several weeks to fully heal.
