Chick-fil-A fans will soon be able to turn up the heat on their favorite menu items, as the fast food chicken chain is unveiling a spicy version of one of its most popular items.
The company confirmed to USA TODAY on Wednesday, Oct. 14 its new Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce will be available in restaurants nationwide beginning Monday, Nov. 16 and will be a permanent addition to the sauce lineup, marking the chain's first permanent sauce addition in a decade.
The sauce combines Chick-fil-A's iconic Chick-fil-A sauce with mustard notes and a smoky tang, balanced by subtle sweetness and infused with spicy peppers, the company told USA TODAY. The spicy sauce will be available in the standard dipping cups as well as 8-ounce bottles.
The last permanent sauce
unveiled by Chick-fil-A was the Sweet & Spicy Siracha sauce in March 2016.

Chicken & Waffles made debut at Chick-fil-A
The new sauce comes after the popular fast-food restaurant began offering a new limited-edition menu at its stores in late August that features waffles for the first time in the restaurant's 80-year history, aside from a limited test last year.
“In this year of newstalgia-inspired celebrations, we wanted to bring something unique this fall by reimagining the comforting flavors our guests crave this time of year," Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A, said in a statement in August. “Both Chicken & Waffles and S’mores are much-loved classics, and we challenged ourselves to bring those flavors to our menu in a playful and unexpected way."
Duncan added the menu items were well-received in test markets, building excitement for their wider launch.

The Chicken & Waffle sandwich, available as both a breakfast and entrée option, features the signature Chick-fil-A filet between two maple-flavored waffles, complemented with three strips of applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter spread, served warm with a side of classic syrup. Customers can customize their sandwich with their preferred filet option − Original, Spicy or Grilled. The breakfast sandwich starts at $4.95, while the entrée starts at $7.59, but prices vary according to location.
Complementing the sandwiches are two drinks, inspired by one of "America's most beloved treats," including:
- S’mores Milkshake: Chick-fil-A's signature Icedream dessert blended with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow-flavored syrup and marshmallow-flavored whipped topping.
- S’mores Frosted Coffee: A blend of cold-brewed coffee, marshmallow-flavored syrup and the restaurant's signature Icedream dessert mixed with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles.
