Like father, like daughter: North West is laying it all out on the mic.
The young rapper and media personality, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), released a new music video for her song "Aishite" on Thursday, Aug. 6. The song's Japanese title translates to "love me."
The nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip, directed by Ty Akimoto, features several haunting sequences of West roaming the halls of an empty school and video game center. West, decked out in a gothic-inspired black dress and neon blue pigtails, rocks out to the thumping rap track, which includes scathing lyrics about betrayal and "suffering."
"Ain't nobody finna save me / Ay, and it's drivin' me crazy," West sings. "Just love me, everyone betrays mе. ...
She pretend they ain't usin' me again / Can't be no one's friend, I can't let nobody in / Can't depend on anyone, the sufferin' won't end."
"Aishite" serves as a single from West's debut EP "N0rth4evr," which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. West, who turned 13 in June, produced every song on the six-track project.
The music video's release comes a week after West seemingly scaled back her coheadlining tour with Molly Santana.
The Kimokawaii Tour official website has been shut down, and most of the 14 dates on the tour are marked as canceled on Ticketmaster. USA TODAY reached out to representatives for Kardashian and Ye for comment.
West and Santana are still scheduled to perform a handful of shows this month in Atlanta; Royal Oak, Michigan; Chicago; and Los Angeles, according to Ticketmaster event listings.
While Santana apologized for the cancelations in a statement posted to her Instagram story, West has yet to address the tour change.

Much like her showbiz parents, West has shown an affinity for the spotlight over the years, from modeling her fashion ensembles on social media to carving out a music career.
In 2024, West portrayed cartoon icon Simba in "Disney's The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event," a performance that sparked controversy on social media, with some alleging that the young Kardashian was cast due to the celebrity status of her parents.
That same year, West collaborated with her father Ye's hip-group, ¥$, on the songs "Talking/Once Again" and "Bomb." West earned her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Talking/Once Again," which peaked at No. 30 on the chart.
The burgeoning emcee teased her debut album, "Elementary School Dropout," in a March 2024 interview with Jazzy's World TV. The title contains a reference to Ye's 2004 debut album "The College Dropout."
In 2025, West made a guest appearance on singer FKA Twigs' Grammy-winning album "Eusexua," rapping in Japanese on the song "Childlike Things."
West released her debut EP, "N0rth4evr," on May 1.
