By Hollywood standards, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding at Madison Square Garden was a total blowout. But for the couple, it was "Actually Romantic."
The NFL star, who married Swift at the iconic New York City venue over the summer, opened up about the ceremony during the season premiere of his "New Heights" podcast, released Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Swift and Kelce tied the knot in a buzzy July 3 ceremony. The star-studded nuptials featured a bevy of A-list guests, including Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler and Zoë Kravitz.
Kelce, 36, explained the inspiration for choosing Madison Square Garden as their wedding venue.

"We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without
a lot of distractions. And we needed it to be a private feel," Kelce said. "And MSG went above and beyond to give us that."
While the pair's megawatt wedding has generated headlines, details from the ceremony are scant, as photos and videos of the event have yet to be released.
"I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye," Kelce continued, jokingly adding that the MSG staff "kicked us out."
"Well, once the drinks stopped being served, everyone kind of just starts to, you know, mosey out," he said.
Kelce gushed that the ceremony was a "night out we'll never forget."
"Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up," Kelce said. "From the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody's stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man."
Adam Sandler
Swift and Kelce's special day wouldn't have been complete without the Sandman.
During the "New Heights" season premiere, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave a shout-out to the couple's friend, actor and comedian Adam Sandler, who officiated the pair's nuptials.
"He has been just the ... best person on this planet," Kelce said. "And for him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor in the way he did, in the very, you know, Sandman style and giving us more than we could have ever imagined in that moment, knowing that it was the biggest night of both of our lives. It was absolutely insane, man."
Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce,
"When you said Adam was gonna be officiating the wedding, I initially, I was like, ‘Man, he’s gonna be hilarious,’ ” Jason recalled. “But it wasn’t until, like, right before the wedding that I realized, ‘Oh my god, he’s gonna crush this because there’s — well, I mean, obviously, he’s an entertainer and he’s hilarious, but there’s a sweetness in everything Adam does, like all of his movies. And, like, there’s a degree of it that I think really resonates with officiating a wedding"
