Carnival Cruise Line canceled nine sailings scheduled to depart in 2027.
The scrapped cruises were set to take place on the Carnival Jubilee ship between next August and next December, the company told USA TODAY in an email. The cruise line said the cancellations were due to "itinerary changes" but did not share additional specifics.
The impacted 2027 dates are:
- Aug. 15, 21 and 29
- Sept. 12, 18 and 26
- Nov. 27
- Dec. 5 and 11
"Affected guests and their travel advisors have been notified and provided with a range of alternative sailing options and accommodations," Carnival added.
The news comes after Carnival previously canceled nearly a dozen cruises scheduled to set sail in late 2026 aboard Carnival Firenze. The cruise line cited "changes to itinerary plans" at the time.
While cruise cancellations are relatively
uncommon, they do occur for various reasons, including when ships are chartered or need to go into dry dock for refurbishment or maintenance.
