The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without one of their top running backs for a third straight week.
Rico Dowdle is inactive for the NFL Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 11 with a toe injury. He had been limited in practice during the week and listed as questionable on the injury report.
Dowdle was injured in Week 2 against the New England Patriots. Teammate Jaylen Warren has gotten the bulk of the team’s carries in his absence and has 220 rushing yards over the past two games.
Jalen Ramsey active vs. Colts
Notably, cornerback Jalen Ramsey is active on the defensive side. He was also questionable after being limited in practice during the week but will be available
to help the defensive secondary.
And elsewhere on the injury front, the Steelers placed receiver Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve Saturday, meaning he’ll miss at least the next four games with a foot injury. Pittman was acquired in the offseason to give quarterback Aaron Rodgers a veteran weapon across from top receiver DK Metcalf.
That plan hasn’t worked out. Pittman has made limited contributions in his three games so far in 2026 as he’s been nagged by issues with his foot that first flared up during training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.
