While severe weather wasn't on the radar, Pittsburgh was expected to see wet conditions through the second half of the week and into the weekend of Aug 22.
Rain started the morning of Aug. 20 and was likely to continue throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service office in Pittsburgh. Afternoon and evening storms were also expected throughout the weekend.
Here's what to know about the upcoming weather.
Hazardous weather outlook issued for Pittsburgh
A hazardous weather outlook warned that Pittsburgh and Allegheny County could see localized flash flooding in low-lying areas or places with poor drainage on Aug. 20.
Western Pennsylvania, East Central Ohio and Northern West Virginia could see similar
conditions.
The likelihood of widespread hazardous weather was low, but more storms were expected to come through the area on Aug. 21 and into the weekend.

Here's what the weather is expected to look like through the weekend and into the following week in Pittsburgh, according to NWS:
- Thursday, Aug. 20: High of 77, Low of 62; 90% chance of rain during the day.
- Friday, Aug. 21: High of 81, low of 64; 30% chance of rain during the day, 20% chance of rain during the evening.
- Saturday, Aug. 22: High of 82, low of 62; 30% chance of rain during the day, 40% chance of rain during the evening.
- Sunday, Aug. 23: High of 77, low of 58; 30% chance of rain during the day, 30% chance of rain during the evening.
- Monday, Aug. 24: High of 77, low of 58; mostly clear skies.
- Tuesday, Aug. 25: High of 80, low of 60; mostly sunny, with clouds expected in the evening.
- Wednesday, Aug. 26: High of 82; mostly sunny.

Is power out in Pittsburgh?
As of 8:32 a.m., Duquesne Light Company was reporting 660 customers without power in Allegheny and Beaver counties. PennPower was reporting 157 outages throughout the state.
