The sixth week of the high school football season is upon us and so are several massive in-state matchups. For a select few, this week's slate of action is rivalry week.
We also have a good number of rematches from last year's state championship games, presenting some teams an opportunity at revenge. How will those games go down? Our staff took a shot at predicting how they would play out.
But first, here are staff prediction standings heading into Week 6:

Game of the Week: Westfield (IN) at No. 19 Brownsburg (IN)
Date: Friday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. ET
Conference foes, Brownsburg and Westfield are used to playing each other every year. However, the Bulldogs have run Indiana's Class 6A scene the last two years and the only team to challenge their reign at the top is the Shamrocks.
Over the last two seasons, the two teams
have played each other four times with each game being decided by one possession. Brownsburg won the 2024 Class 6A title over Westfield 22-17 and repeated as champions last season, beating the Shamrocks 38-31.
Westfield is 5-0 thanks to a punishing ground game that has accounted for 1,133 yards and has seen six different players score two or more touchdowns on the ground. Meanwhile, Brownsburg quarterback Oscar Frye has a special connection with Indiana receiver commit Branden Sharpe as the two have connected 28 times for 466 yards and seven touchdowns.

No. 21 Thomas County Central (GA) at Lee County (GA)

When it comes to Georgia's 5A scene this year, there may not be a bigger game this season.
Thomas County rolled to a state championship unbeaten last year, but Lee County was the only team to really test them during that run. This year, the Yellow Jackets appear to be the favorite once again as they've outscored their first four opponents 224-42.
The Trojans have been equally as impressive this season and have one of the state's best wins as they came back to beat Carol City (FL) a few weeks back. Jordan Bush has been efficient with his arm and legs, totaling 1,092 total yards of offense and eight touchdowns.

No. 23 Centennial (CA) at De La Salle (CA)

After dropping back-to-back games, Centennial got back on track last week with a dominant 41-7 win over Rancho Cucamonga (CA). Things won't get any easier for the Huskies this week as they hit the road for a huge showdown with De La Salle.
The Spartans have quietly been chugging along in California's loaded football landscape, starting off the season 4-0. They have yet to play a close game, winning by an average of 32.5 points.
This year's matchup will be the first between the schools since 2015. The last time they played, De La Salle held on for a 28-21 victory in the CIF Open Division State Championship.

Corner Canyon (UT) at Skyridge (UT)

In their short history against one another, Skyridge has only beaten Corner Canyon once. Is this the year they pick up win No. 2?
Both teams enter this game with a 5-1 record, looking to establish themselves as the top program in Utah. Corner Canyon's loss came to Liberty (AZ) by 14 two weeks ago, while Skyridge lost its season-opener to Mountain Ridge (UT) 41-26.
This game features two of the state's best quarterbacks. Corner Canyon's Jaxon Pehrson has thrown for 979 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Skyridge's Jagger Fountaine has 1,610 passing yards and 19 touchdowns.

Garden City (NY) vs. Massapequa (NY)

The nation's longest winning streak will be tested Saturday evening as Garden City squares off with Massapequa at Hofstra University.
With a pair of wins to start the year, the Trojans have now won 66 straight games dating back to 2019. Garden City has won five state championships during that stretch. This year they've won each of their games by double digits.
Massapequa is no joke of a program either. The Chiefs are on a 25-game winning streak of their own, having suffered their first loss in the first game of the 2024 season. They're also 2-0 this season, outscoring their first two opponents 79-19.

King (MI) at Cass Tech (MI)

A rivalry that dates back to 1968, the Technicians and Crusaders have a long and storied rivalry in the Michigan high school football scene. The schools have played 63 times with Cass Tech holding a narrow 32-31 series lead.
The Technicians have won three straight in the series with King's last win coming in 2024 with an 18-12 overtime victory. This year's matchup could be one of the best in recent memory as they both enter the game at 4-0.
Led by Texas A&M five-star quarterback commit Donald Tabron II, Cass Tech has outscored its first four opponents 208-21. They should face their stiffest challenge of the season against a King side averaging 41.5 points per game.

Monsignor Farrell (NY) at Iona Prep (NY)
Date: Friday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. ET
New York's top two programs square off in a rematch of last year's CHSFL AAA championship that Iona Prep won 42-20. That win avenged a 28-20 regular season loss for the Gaels to the Lions.
Could they once again play a pair of matchups this season?
Through the first few weeks of the year, it appears like that could be case. Iona Prep is 3-0 and beat its first three opponents by an average of 31.3 points. Monsignor Farrell had one close call in a 21-18 win over DePaul Catholic (NJ) but rolled in its three other games winning them by an average of 25.7 points.

Nelson (OR) at West Linn (OR)
Date: Friday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. PST
Fans in the Pacific Northwest that love offense will be wanting to tune into this one. Through three games, Nelson is averaging 43.3 points, while West Linn is averaging 47.3 points.
Nelson opened its season losing a 49-43 shootout with Grants Pass (OR) but have bounced back in the last two weeks. In wins over Jesuit (OR) and Oregon City (OR), Nelson outscored those teams 87-7.
West Linn has not been tested so far this season. The Lions opened the season with a 45-20 win and followed that up by scoring 48 points the next week and 49 points the following week to move their record to 3-0.

St. John’s (DC) at St. Edward (OH)
Date: Saturday, Sept. 26, 1 p.m. ET
Both St. John's and St. Edward were involved in close matchups last week but they each walked away with different results.
The Cadets traveled down to Florida and after trailing by 11 early on, rallied for a massive 15-14 road win over West Boca (FL). They now have a pair of blowout wins and two wins by three points or less.
St. Edward has played in close games in three of its first five games. This time though, they did not emerge with a win as they hosted Washington (OH) and suffered a 23-21 loss. Three of the Eagles' five games have been by three or fewer points.

St. Joseph Regional (NJ) at Don Bosco Prep (NJ)
Date: Friday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. ET
One of New Jersey's oldest and fiercest rivalries returns to the field Friday night as the Ironmen host the Green Knights. Don Bosco Prep leads the all-time series 34-27 but St. Joseph's beat them 24-21 in last season's NJSIAA Non-Public A State Championship.
That loss has appeared to motivate the Ironmen so far in 2026. They're 4-0 and done so in dominant fashion. Don Bosco has scored 35 or more points in each of its games and outscored its opponents 153-37.
St. Joseph Regional had a hard start to the year, blowing a big lead to Mt. Carmel (IL) and losing by 29 to Creekside (GA). They picked up their first win of the season over Delbarton (NJ) by seven but had their most impressive win a week later, beating DePaul Catholic (NJ) 42-7.
