When Alix Earle spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her new Netflix reality television series, "Earle Meets World," she slipped in a small dig directed toward her former boss, Alex Cooper, with whom she is currently embroiled in a months-long feud.
Earle was asked how it felt to finally address the beef on camera in the series that is due out Sept. 4. "I'm happy that I said my piece, but I'm happier just to, like, focus on the premiere and having the show out there," she told the reporter. "And, you know, hers are getting canceled, so it is what it is."
Earle's podcast "Hot Mess" was hosted on Cooper's Unwell Podcast Network until March 2025, when it was abruptly announced that it was leaving.
Cooper,
best known for hosting the podcast "Call Her Daddy," took to social media in April of this year to address the rumors of their rift, saying in a video, "Hey girl, the passive aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I’ve got to call you out here." She continued, "You’re going to need to get specific and just say what you’ve got to say about me. There’s no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself.” Then, Earle responded to her in the video’s comment section: “Okay on it.”
It wasn't until Earle did an interview with Time Magazine for the Time 100 Creators list last month that she publicly addressed the scandal and confirmed that her official response will come on the show. "That was one of the things in the beginning they wanted me to talk about, and I really wasn’t comfortable sharing," she told the magazine. "Then everything unfolded the way it did while we were filming. There was a serious struggle behind the scenes, emotionally, and my family showed up for me. Those moments that sometimes seem so fun for people online, but are hard behind the scenes — I am happy that we were able to capture that.”
