Jenny McCarthy may have been a cheerleader, but she's not made for the dance floor.
While speaking with "Dancing with the Stars" Season 31 alumna Selma Blair
on the Oct. 20 episode of "The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show," McCarthy admitted that her "two left feet" have kept her from competing on the ABC show. But she also shared that one of the show's most famous personalities affirmed she'd have an uphill battle on the ballroom floor. With her sister being a longtime makeup artist for "Dancing with the Stars," McCarthy said she often went to the post-taping after-parties.
"Every after-party, we drank, and they'd teach me how to try to ballroom dance. Ten years they tried," she said. "And finally Derek [Hough] said, 'You're the first person I can
honestly say there's no hope for.'"

The "Two and a Half Men" actress, 53, added, "I'm a cheerleader. I'm a stiff-armed cheerleader. … I can't find the rhythm."
USA TODAY has reached out to Hough's representative for comment.
Hough is the reigning pro champion on "Dancing," having won the Mirrorball trophy with Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley and Bindi Irwin throughout his career.
He's been a judge since 2020 and is the most junior member of the Season 35 panel, which also includes veterans Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
Though the "Masked Singer" judge didn't rule out eventually pulling on some dancing shoes for "Dancing with the Stars," she's previously been vocal about another ABC program that she wouldn't "ever step foot in" again.
In a January episode of "The Katie Miller Podcast," McCarthy said she wouldn't return to "The View," which she cohosted from 2013 to 2014 during its 17th season. She shared that though she was hired to discuss "light, fluffy and fun" topics, the show wanted to discuss political issues.
"Getting through that year was really difficult," McCarthy said. "They've asked me to come back for, like, reunion shows. I was like, over my dead body would I ever step foot in that place."
