George Clooney isn't only good in front of the camera.
At the Venice International Film Festival, the "Ocean's Eleven" actor and "The Boys in the Boat" director, 65, had some fun with his Lifetime Achievement Award. On the red carpet, Clooney playfully swapped his Golden Lion trophy for a photographer's camera.
The movie star approached AFP photographer Tiziana Fabi, gave her his gleaming trophy, then posed with Fabi's camera. Fabi responded by holding up the accolade with a big smile as if she were accepting the honor.
Not only did Clooney play around with the photographers but he took to the time to greet fans behind a barricade with autographs and posed for pictures.
His "Jay Kelly" costar Laura Dern presented him the award at the prestigious
Italian festival, where she said it was an honor her longtime friend, whom she first worked with on 1983's "Grizzly II: Revenge."
"I first had the privilege of getting to know Gregory Peck. When I met him, I found a Renaissance man like that would truly be a forever one of a kind. But my generation got one, too, in George," Dern said in her speech. "We got the iconography, we got the humanity, and we got the greatness in the artist, and goddess hero Amal got the man. Well, correction, correction. George got her."
Dern joked that Clooney had been People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive twice, adding, "He's the best friend you could ever have and the funniest person you will ever meet."

George and Amal Clooney shares memorable date night
The evening also served as a special date night for George and his wife Amal Clooney, who joined him on the red carpet.
Amal waited for her husband near the entrance of the historic Sala Grande auditorium in Venice.
Thecouple have been married since in September 2014, a year after a mutual friend brought them together. In 2017, they welcomed fraternal twins, Alexander and Ella.
At a June 9 panel for Cartier Dialogues, the international law and human rights lawyer, 48, opened up about how much her life changed "quite a lot" since marrying the Oscar-winner.
"And at first, I was kind of conscious of that one-dimensional view, where I didn't, I felt like, 'Well, I can't be seen wearing this dress or doing this because I'm in front of a judge on Monday," she said. "But it just doesn't matter as much as living your life and ultimately, if you're good at what you do, that is going to shine through."
