Quarterback Matthew Stafford did not finish out the Los Angeles Rams’ season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia.
Stafford left the game in the final minutes of the fourth quarter and was replaced by Stetson Bennett.

have scored in a game with Stafford starting.Stafford did not appear to be injured, instead he was seemingly removed from the game by Rams coach Sean McVay with the game clearly out of hand.
Stafford was seen on the broadcast running off the field after the game.

The veteran quarterback completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards and had an interception. He did not throw a touchdown in the game.
He was one of two players, along with Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, to throw a touchdown pass in every game last season.
Stafford was credited with two rushing attempts, losing a yard.
