AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was red-carded for shoving Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams in the face during the first half of Thursday's Europa League match.
Bournemouth took the lead just eight minutes into the match at Vitality Stadium, with Justin Kluivert finding the net from the penalty spot.
But it would get much worse for Milan in the 27th minute as Bournemouth lined up for a corner kick. Adams positioned himself right in front of Maignan, who responded by delivering a two-handed shove in the American midfielder's face.

Adams went straight to ground and referee Vassilis Fotias
quickly went to his back pocket, showing the French goalkeeper a straight red card while also awarding a penalty kick.
The red card was confirmed after a VAR check, while Adams was shown a yellow card for his role in the incident.
After backup goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani was subbed on for Milan, Marcus Tavernier converted the ensuing penalty kick to give the Cherries a 2-0 lead.
Adams started in the midfield against his U.S. men's national team teammate Yunus Musah, who began the game for Milan. Christian Pulisic began the game on the bench for Milan.
