After Spain won the World Cup, La Roja manager Luis de la Fuente highlighted his team's winning attitude, saying that even amidst the celebrations of having won the sport's most important prize, some were already asking about the fall when UEFA Nations League play would begin.
That moment is now here, and Spain has a daunting start to the European tournament, visiting England after the Three Lions took third place at this summer's World Cup.
Much of the squad that helped Spain win the top prize is back, with stars like Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and golden ball winner Rodri all present for the match in London.
Fullback may be a spot to watch with right back breakout star Pedro Porro out with a hamstring injury and Marcos Llorente having announced
his international retirement after the World Cup.
Plus, a manager who is always pushing for more may have his own changes planned to vary the way Spain played during the World Cup.
