T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's wedding plans are taking shape.
The former "Good Morning America" hosts, who announced their engagement in October 2025, on Sept. 18 applied for a marriage license in Washington County, Arkansas, the county clerk confirmed to USA TODAY on Oct. 5.
TMZ was first to report the news. USA TODAY has reached out to the couple's representative for comment.
The wedding's location marks a return to his home state for 49-year-old Holmes who was born in West Memphis.
Though the couple teased in a May interview that they had settled on a wedding date, they have not shared the timing details publicly. However, they did open up about having plans to make the occasion unique to them.

"There is a way we want to get married that we haven't
revealed necessarily, but it would be very special to us," Holmes said. "We can't say what that is. That's a big thing for us."
Nearly four years ago, Holmes and 53-year-old Robach's romance began with intense media scrutiny as they were married to different people when they were photographed holding hands in public in November 2022.
The revelation led ABC News to remove Holmes and Robach from "GMA3." In a December 2022 internal memo, the network said that while their relationship did not violate company policy, it had become "an internal and an external distraction." The pair was ousted from the network the following month.
Holmes filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig in December 2022. Robach has said she was separated from Andrew Shue in summer 2022, and they reportedly finalized her divorce in March 2023.
Holmes has a daughter, Sabine, with Fiebig and shares two children, Brianna and Jaiden, with ex-wife Amy Ferson. Robach has two daughters, Ava and Annalise, with ex-husband Tim McIntosh.
After rocky start, T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach plan on 'spending our lives together'
In a December 2023 episode of their "Amy & T.J. Podcast," the couple clarified the timeline of their relationship as it overlapped with their respective marriages. They maintained that their prior marriages were nearly over, but they both decided not to respond to the allegations to avoid escalating the drama.
"What we were trying to do was keep our jobs," Robach said. "We did have press releases ready to go that we had written that day."
They then read their separate statements that they decided not to release in 2022, with both saying their friendship had only turned romantic recently, after their divorces were nearly "finalized."
"We did not enter this relationship for fun or for 'Let's see what happens.' We entered this relationship because we intended on spending our lives together," Robach told their listeners.
"We both have two marriages under our belts and so it's not something we're racing to or rushing towards," she added. "But there is something, I get it, it's this thing that I can't even explain why there's this desire, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I can say that. It's on the table."
