The Packers haven't won in six games since Micah Parsons tore his ACL late last season, but that ends here against the rebuilding Jets. Green Bay hits the road after blowing a 22-10 lead in Minnesota, surrendering 29 unanswered points on the way to a lopsided loss to Carson Wentz and the Vikings. The Packers couldn't establish a running game without Josh Jacobs, and their defense couldn't generate meaningful pressure when it mattered most without Parsons. Both stars remain out, but this is still a considerably more talented roster than the Jets team that just upset the lousy Titans. Don't be surprised if New York finds a way to keep it close, but I like the Packers to get back on track.
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz: Packers 28, Jets 19
Gang Green hasn't started 2-0 since 2015. Maybe Aaron Glenn's refreshed group can get over that hump, but slowing Jordan Love and the Packers' high-flying passing attack will be a far tougher task than handling Cam Ward in the opener. The Jets can at least stay in this if Geno Smith again avoids the turnovers and sacks that would put the offense in a hole too deep to emerge from. But this feels like a bounce-back game for Green Bay, which should be able to air it out against a shorthanded New York secondary.
Nate Davis: Packers 27, Jets 24
The Jets are an improved team and showed it in Week 1. The Packers are a hamstrung one and showed it in Week 1. But the cream should rise here, and Green Bay's passing attack should prove decisive … Assuming the Pack can keep young pass rushers David Bailey and Will McDonald IV at bay, and Matt LaFleur already knows a thing or two about scheming against Aaron Glenn.
Richard Morin: Jets 21, Packers 20
Green Bay's defense was Swiss cheese incarnate against Kyler Murray (!), Carson Wentz (!) and the Vikings, so how will it fare against Geno Smith and Breece Hall? There's also quite a bit of soul-searching going on behind Jordan Love, so I'm not comfortable backing the road favorite here until the Packers' offense shows me some identity. The Jets are far from perfect, but they look competitive and should get some love in this Week 2 bout.
