The San Francisco 49ers are no strangers to injuries. And lately, Mike Evans isn't either.
That was the case for the Niners receiver on "Monday Night Football," who departed with trainers ahead of halftime in Week 6. The ESPN broadcast showed footage of Evans stretching out his lower body earlier in the game and Evans went down after a catch late in the first half.
Evans was seen stretching on his way to the locker room, walking with a noticeable limp.
The 33-year-old was battling a rib and Achilles injury prior to Week 6. He didn't log any practice time, but was still able to suit up on Monday night.
He signed a three-year, $42 million deal with San Francisco in free agency during the offseason.
Here's the latest.
Mike Evans injury update
Evans is questionable to return
with an Achilles injury, the 49ers announced.
He departed late in the first half after collecting a pass from Brock Purdy, limping to the locker room.
While it would be a good sign if the veteran did return, the score suggests that San Francisco can elect to be cautious with its star receiver.

49ers WR depth chart
- Mike Evans (questionable to return)
- Brandin Cooks
- Jacob Cowing
- Jordan Watkins
- Malik Turner
A once-promising receiver room for San Francisco looks barren if Evans can't return. Deebo Samuel is out, while Christian Kirk, Ricky Pearsall, Demarcus Robinson and De'Zhaun Stribling are all on injured reserve.
