Margot Robbie has taken her husband's surname in British corporate filings nearly 10 years after the couple married.
The "Barbie" star is now listed as Margot Elise Ackerley in public records for LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company she co-founded with husband Tom Ackerley.
A Companies House filing submitted Sept. 22 says the director's details changed Jan. 12, 2026. Robbie had previously appeared in the company's records as Margot Elise Robbie.
The filings do not explain why Robbie updated her name or indicate whether she intends to use Ackerley professionally. The Australian actress and producer continues to be credited publicly as Margot Robbie in the credits of her more recent projects.

Robbie, 36, has served as a director of LuckyChap Entertainment since May 2015, according to Companies House. She and Ackerley, also 36, launched the company in 2014 with friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
LuckyChap has produced a string of acclaimed movies and television projects, including "I, Tonya," "Promising Young Woman," "Birds of Prey," "Saltburn" and the blockbuster "Barbie," which Robbie also starred in.

Robbie and Ackerley married in December 2016 in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. Robbie appeared to confirm the wedding by sharing an Instagram photo of herself kissing Ackerley while displaying her ring.
The pair met while working on the World War II drama "Suite Française," in which Robbie appeared and Ackerley worked as an assistant director. They became friends and roommates before their relationship turned romantic.
The couple has largely kept their personal life out of the spotlight while maintaining a close professional partnership through LuckyChap. They welcomed their first child, a son, in 2024.
Robbie offered rare comments about parenthood in a 2025 interview, describing motherhood as "the best." The couple has not publicly disclosed their son's name.
