Yeah, it's happening. New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson is taking his talents from Madison Square Garden to another New York institution:“Law & Order: SVU.”

Brunson, who was spotted on the "SVU" set with star and BFF Mariska Hargitay on Sept. 16, will guest star in the fifth episode of the long-running NBC drama’s 28th season, airing Nov. 5 at (9 p.m. ET/PT), NBC announced Thursday Sept. 17. For basketball fans, the Knicks are off that night. No conflict.

Details of Brunson’s specific role are being kept under wraps.

The appearance continues Brunson’s increasingly busy TV offseason – and his friendship with noted Knicks superfan Hargitay.

Brunson made

a surprise appearance alongside host Hargitay in the prerecordedopening of the 78th Emmy Awards on Sept. 14. In the bit, a nervous Hargitay steamed her Emmy gown while Brunson worked on his No. 11 Knicks jersey. Hargitay got a laugh asking the NBA world champion whether he knew what it was like to have millions of eyes on him with everything riding on one night.

The basketball star is also alongtime “SVU” fan. Brunsonhas said Hargitay is his favorite celebrity Knicks fan and that watching the crime drama is part of his pregame routine.

Brunson’s acting gig comes before another major NBC assignment: The breakout NBA superstar will host the Season 52 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” on Sept. 26, with KATSEYE as musical guest.

"I'm so excited and I can't wait," Hargitayrecently told USA TODAY of the athlete's "SNL" debut. "And you can be sure that I'll be there in the audience. I'm his number one fan."

Sports fans can then see Brunson on NBC and Peacock a month later, on Oct. 20, when the New York Knicks kick off their season from Madison Square Garden against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers.

“Law & Order: SVU,” starring Hargitay, Ice T, Peter Scanavino, Kelli Giddish, Kevin Kane, Aimé Donna Kelly and Corey Cott, begins its 28th season Oct. 8 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC.
