The Seattle Seahawks are adding an experienced running back to the fold just days after placing 2026 first-round pick Jadarian Price on injured reserve.
The Seahawks signed Joe Mixon to a contract on Monday, Oct. 5, after the 30-year-old completed a workout at the team's facility, per multiple reports.
Mixon spent the last two seasons with the Houston Texans. He did not play in 2025 because of a lingering foot injury but posted 1,016 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns during a Pro Bowl year in 2024.
Terms of Mixon's deal with the Seahawks were not immediately disclosed. He will join a Seattle backfield that is currently helmed by Emanuel Wilson and George Holani with Price and Zach Charbonnet (ACL recovery) out of action.
