To say that your aunt is one of the biggest movie stars in the world is something nearly no high school football player has ever been able to say. Having that aunt show up to watch your senior night win takes things to another level entirely.
That's exactly what happened to Folsom (CA) linebacker EJ Coleman on Friday, Oct. 23, as the Bulldogs beat Del Oro (CA) 42-41 with his aunt, Zendaya
, in attendance. After the win, Coleman posted a photo to his Instagram of him and Zendaya.
TikTok user levana8260 posted a video of Zendaya dancing to Oasis' 'Wonderwall' during the game and hugging numerous people before walking off. She also was featured in a photo with Folsom's cheerleaders.
One of the biggest movie stars in the world currently, Zendaya's had
a monster year at the box office, starring in blockbuster movies such as "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" and The Odyssey." In December, fans can once again catch her on the big screen starring as Chani in "Dune: Part Three."
Ever with her busy schedule, she was able to make time for her family and see her nephew and the Bulldogs move to 9-0 on the year and close out the regular season by holding off Del Oro in an instant classic.
Folsom has next week off before returning to the field on Nov. 6 kicking off the postseason on the road at Jesuit (CA).
As for Coleman, if his aunt isn't able to catch another high school game, she'll be able to catch him playing college ball for the Washington State Cougars up in Pullman, Washington. 247Sports ranks him as a three-star prospect and the No. 100 athlete in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Coleman has been committed to Washington State since May 16.
