Behind Tarik Skubal's brilliance and three home runs, the Los Angeles Dodgers took Game 1 of the National League Division Series against Atlanta and the two teams are right back in action on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Dodger Stadium.
The back-to-back World Series champions will another send two-time Cy Young winner, Blake Snell, to the mound in the second game of the best-of-five series. When the series heads back to Atlanta for Game 3, last year's World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto will take the mound.
"We could have deployed our starters any way we wanted, but to have Blake going (Sunday) to follow up with what Tarik did (Saturday) and knowing that you got Yamamoto in the holster for Game 3, we're in a good spot," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters.
"It all starts with winning Game 1."
Stealing a game in Los Angeles would be huge for Atlanta, with Games 3 (Tuesday) and 4 (Wednesday) at Truist Park in Cobb County, Georgia.
