Scheffler carded 11 birdies on Friday, Aug. 14, during Round 2 of the PGA Tour's FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.
Scheffler's scintillating round tied the course record
of nine-under-par 61 and placed the favorite to win this year's FedEx Cup Playoffs alone atop the tournament's leaderboard heading into the weekend.Scheffler started his round with five consecutive birdies before finally settling for par on the par-four sixth hole. A pair of bogeys on Holes 8 and 12 were the only blemishes on a scorecard that otherwise looked like a line of dots waiting to be gobbled up by Pac-Man.
