In fact, the only matchup we know at this point is that the No. 1 Minnesota Lynx will take on the No. 8 New York Liberty in a blockbuster first-round series, a rematch of the 2024 WNBA Finals.

The series will not be light on starpower, as Napheesa Collier, Olivia Miles, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu should provide some playoff fireworks.

Minnesota Lynx vs. NY Liberty WNBA playoff schedule

While the full WNBA playoff schedule has not yet been announced, we know that Minnesota will host Game 1 of the series, while New York will host Game 2. Should there be a need for a decisive Game 3, the series will shift back to the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Game 1 will be played in Minnesota on Sunday, Sept. 27. Game 2 will either take place on Tuesday, Sept. 29 or Wednesday, Sept. 30, and if necessary Game 3 would be schedule for either Thursday, Oct. 1 or Friday Oct. 2.
