Tyler Cameron is addressing his controversial walk-off on "Dancing with the Stars."
"The Bachelor" alum, 33, posted a TikTok video with pro partner Sharna Burgess thanking her and their fans for their support shortly after they were eliminated from the ABC competition series on the Tuesday, Oct. 27 episode.
He also offered an explanation for why he stormed off camera after receiving low scores earlier in the night – a moment many viewers criticized for being unprofessional.
"This has been a once-in-a-lifetime incredible experience, and I mean it from my heart," Cameron said, telling Burgess, "I am just so grateful for everything, for you, for what this has meant to me, for everything. And I also want to say, too, y'all saw a real human moment out
of me. Not my proudest moment when I was upstairs getting my scores."
Cameron and Burgess earned 26 out of 40 for their Viennese Waltz to "Love Song for a Vampire" by Annie Lennox, inspired by "Bram Stoker's Dracula," with guest judge Shirley Ballas giving the routine a five and the other three judges scoring sevens.
"I thought we were done filming, and I needed to step away from it all," he said. "I was disappointed in myself. I thought it was boom or bust at that point, where we had to have a great score or we were out of this competition, and it was bust in my head, and I felt like I let myself down. More importantly, I thought I let Sharna down, and it was hard."
Burgess noted that Cameron was "so hard on himself" because all the technique issues he was called out on were exactly what they had "been working on all week." She added that after watching the dance back, she thought he actually "executed a lot of it beautifully."
"I think your score should not have been sevens. I don't know why you were given sevens. I think you could have been eights and Shirley's five, which by the way was the highest she scored a ballroom dance for the whole night," the choreographer pointed out.
She went on to tell Cameron, "I need you to know that what you achieved was incredible. You didn't let anyone down. It was a tough night. For whatever reason, they were tough on you. They've been tough on you. Last week, you should have got higher scores, too. It's been a pattern for you. There are things we can't control, whatever they're seeing versus us."

Reiterating that he was "extremely disappointed," Cameron admitted he felt "heartbroken" at that moment.
"I was just real and raw," he continued. "This show's a pressure cooker, and all I wanted to do was score well and crush it and move on to the next week, because this has been the most incredible experience. It didn't happen that way, and I was upset. But I can step back now, an hour removed from it all, and just be so happy with how everything went."
"You proud of yourself?" Burgess asked, to which the reality star replied, "I'm very proud of myself. Like I said, it was a dream."
He concluded the video by apologizing and expressing his gratitude for making it to Week 7 of the competition.
"I'm gonna miss this place, I'm gonna miss this ballroom, I'm gonna miss dancing with you, and it stinks. It's gonna burn for a little bit, and then it'll stink for a couple days. But I love this experience overall," Cameron said. "I'm sorry that I let my emotions get the best of me earlier, but it came out of a place of just love and passion, and it was tough."
The conclusion of Cameron's "DWTS" journey came one week after his Dedication Night performance stole the spotlight when he and fiancée Tate Madden announced their pregnancy live on air. After, they had a surprise gender reveal, with pink confetti filling the ballroom to signify they are having a baby girl.
"This is incredible. I get to be her husband soon and the father of a beautiful baby," Cameron said at the time as he and Madden shared an emotional hug. "I get to be a girl dad. What a gift."
