The Seattle Seahawks are extending Leonard Williams' stay in the Emerald City.
Williams and the team have agreed to a three-year extension worth $90 million, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The deal includes $56 million guaranteed, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It is just the latest in a series of contract extensions handed out by the Super Bowl champions after their triumph in February. The Seahawks also inked deals with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Devon Witherspoon and Derick Hall in the month's since lifting the franchise's second Lombardi Trophy.
Williams has become a key for Mike Macdonald's defense, thriving in the two seasons since the coach took over. Initially acquired by the Seahawks in 2023, Seattle parted with a second and fifth-round
pick to obtain Williams' services from the New York Giants.
Macdonald's hire ahead of the 2024 campaign helped Williams boost his sack numbers. The defensive tackle, who has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons, posted 18 sacks in 33 games since the coach's arrival, easily the best stretch of his career.
Now the 32-year-old is set to stick around for the foreseeable future and continue wreaking havoc for the Super Bowl champions.

The deal ties him with Vita Vea as the fifth highest-paid interior defensive lineman in terms of AAV, according to OverTheCap.
Initially drafted by the New York Jets with the No. 6 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Williams has found a home in Seattle.
