The North Crowley football (Fort Worth, TX) football team, ranked eighth in USA TODAY Sports latest Super 25 rankings, presented a major surprise to Errecka Holloway on Thursday, Oct. 29.
Following the Panthers' matchup against Mansfield (TX) at Vernon Newsom Stadium in Mansfield, members of the team each gave Holloway a rose. Wearing a pink t-shirt and pink head covering, Holloway collected them one-by-one from each player in a ceremony that took about four minutes until she had an impressive-sized bouquet built up.
Holloway — the mother of defensive lineman Derrick Gleason — is undergoing breast cancer treatment for a second time, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

"Seeing that, I became overwhelmed with emotions," Holloway told the Star-Telegram.
North Crowley head coach DeMarcus Harris thanked Holloway for her support of the team.
"She's been around our kids since they were little kids, like all of them," Harris told the Star-Telegram. "She's just like a mom to all of them."
