Trader Joe's is gearing up for a major expansion.
The popular grocery chain plans to open 30 new stores across 16 states in the coming weeks and months, adding locations from Arizona to Washington as it grows its footprint across the United States. The California-based retailer, known for its private-label products, seasonal favorites, and budget-friendly prices, currently operates stores in 42 states and Washington, DC.
The expansion comes as consumer demand for Trader Joe's remains strong and the grocer continues its steady growth strategy in both established and emerging markets. While the company has not announced opening dates for most of the upcoming stores, it has confirmed two locations will open this month: Anaheim Hills, California,
on Oct. 22 and West Jordan, Utah, on Oct. 23.

All locations are listed as "coming soon" on Trader Joe’s website, but the company has not announced opening dates for most of them.
When will the new Trader Joe's stores open?
Trader Joe's has not provided opening dates for 28 of the 30 planned stores. The only two with confirmed dates are the Anaheim Hills, California, store, scheduled to open Oct. 22, and the West Jordan, Utah, location, set to open Oct. 23.
Customers can check Trader Joe's website for updates on additional opening dates as they are announced.
