Central Florida arrived at the Acrisure Bounce House for its home matchup against No. 3 BYU without a single top-five-ranked win in program history.
Scott Frost and the Knights left the field with that top-five-ranked win in tow.
The Knights knocked off the Cougars in double overtime on Saturday with a 39-31 win after Frost's defense got a game-ending stop on fourth-and-goal. The party in Orlando didn't wait until BYU left the field to get underway, either, as UCF fans stormed the field to celebrate the win immediately.

The Knight went up 39-31 in double overtime after backup quarterback
Keyone Jenkins hit Grayson Brousseau for a 4-yard touchdown pass, followed by the successful 2-point conversion. UCF came up with the defensive stop on fourth-and-goal when BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier's fourth-down pass fell short of tight end Walker Lyons.
"Proud of our kids," Frost said on Fox after the game. "... That was the weirdest end to a game I've ever seen."
Here's another look at the field storming:

It's the second notable field storming in the Big 12 on Saturday, with the other coming in Cincinnati after the Bearcats knocked off Texas Tech. But since the Knights violated the conference's field storming policy, UCF will have to pay a fine for the field storming.
Here’s what to know:
Will UCF be fined for field storming after BYU win?
The Big 12 takes a case-by-case basis when determining whether to fine its institutions, though it looks like UCF will be fined for Saturday's field storming.
The standard fine for a Big 12 member school whose fans storm the field after a game is $50,000, but the league office will review footage of the incident to see whether the visiting team and the game officials have a safe path off the field. It’s different from the SEC, which has a strict fine system in place for field-storming incidents.
The Big 12 has declined to penalize schools in the past for fans rushing the field, as recently as last week after BYU beat Notre Dame. In 2025, it didn’t penalize Colorado after its fans ran onto the field after a home win against what was then a nationally ranked Iowa State team. The conference determined that the Buffs “executed field storming management procedures" and rescinded the fine.
