Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey suffered an apparent injury during his team's Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
McConkey's injury occurred as the receiver was trying to make a catch while breaking over the middle of the field. He took a hard shot from Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. and reached for his back while laying on the ground after the play.
McConkey remained down and received treatment from Chargers medical staffers after the injury. He was eventually able to get up and walk off the field under his own power but headed to the blue medical tent for further evaluation.
The Chargers punted after McConkey exited the field, and it wasn't immediately clear whether he would be able to return to the game.
