After an utterly dominant postseason, the Milwaukee Brewers have finally won a World Series.
And they may just be getting started. The Brew Crew will have almost everyone from this year's championship squad back in 2027, with one possible exception.
First baseman Jake Bauers, the National League Championship Series MVP in Milwaukee's sweep of the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers, is a free agent this winter. And after a stellar regular season in which he hit .266 with 26 home runs, 86 RBI, 93 runs scored and 11 stolen bases, Bauers is poised to cash in on the free agent market.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy seemed well aware of that fact when Bauers presented him with the ball he caught
for the final out in the clinching Game 5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
"You're gonna be a rich (expletive)," Murphy said (Warning: Explicit language). "Just remember when you're on that horse (expletive) Yankee team and you're all playing for yourselves ... Just remember, this is the way we used to do it."
Bauers may not be among the top 10 potential free agents this offseason, but the class is top-heavy with pitching (Tarik Skubal, Michael King and Freddy Peralta are the headliners), but teams in need of a power bat could certainly use someone with Bauers' skills.
Over his seven-year MLB career Bauers has played for five different teams, including the Rays and the Yankees. But then again, with supporters like Murphy, why would he want to leave Milwaukee?
