Walmart customers wanting to get both groceries and Dunkin’ delivered at the same time will soon have that chance.
The retail and grocery giant announced this week that the company will soon allow customers to order Dunkin’ using the same Walmart app they use to buy groceries.
Walmart is working with Inspire Brands, which owns Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s and Sonic. The move comes after Walmart launched its restaurant delivery program with Subway this past summer. There are over 1,400 Subway restaurants inside Walmart stores, Walmart told USA TODAY this week.
Walmart’s Senior Vice President of eCommerce Fulfillment Transformation Greg Cathey said in a news release that the companies want to help make customers’
lives easier.
“By expanding restaurant delivery beyond our stores, we are offering a value and convenience proposition that is unmatched,” Cathey said. “We’re enabling customers to order their beverages, donut or sandwich alongside their paper towels, milk and household essentials.”
Dunkin’ Brand President and Inspire Chief Brand Officer Scott Murphy said in the same press release that the company’s goal is to make it easier for customers to get Dunkin’ whenever they want it.
“By bringing Dunkin’ into the Walmart shopping experience, we’re creating another convenient way for guests to get their favorite beverages and meals,” Murphy said.

How can customers place an order for Dunkin'?
Walmart said in the news release that eligible customers will automatically see Dunkin’ as an option in the restaurants tab on the Walmart app based on their delivery address.
Customers can access the Dunkin’ menu, customize their beverage and food selections and check out using the same app they use to shop at Walmart.
Customers wanting to find a Dunkin’ located inside Walmart can search the Dunkin’ locator. Dunkin’ locations in Walmart stores are labeled “inside Walmart.”
Customers will eventually be able to order from Dunkin' locations outside of Walmart
Walmart said in the news release that initially, customers will only be able to order Dunkin' from the 150 Walmart stores that have Dunkin' in-store cafés.
The program will later expand to include most of the 10,000 Dunkin' locations outside of Walmart.
"Customers will soon be able to order from Dunkin’ restaurants located both in-store and outside Walmart stores directly through the Walmart app or Walmart.com," the company said.
What date will Walmart customers be able to order Dunkin'?
When asked what date Walmart customers would be able to order Dunkin', Walmart said the program is rolling out in phases and the brands are trying to give customers access to the feature as soon as possible.
Could this expand beyond Dunkin?
When USA TODAY contacted Inspire Brands and Walmart on Sept. 4 to find out if or when the company’s other brands would be available for delivery with Walmart orders, the brands said the company is "currently focused on a successful Dunkin’ rollout across many of its 10,000 locations in the U.S."
