Miami could be without a key member of its offense for its marquee road trip to Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 7.
According to multiple reports, Hurricanes star wide receiver Malachi Toney is dealing with an injured ankle, which has his status for Saturday’s game against the Fighting Irish in South Bend uncertain.
ESPN's Pete Thamel noted that Toney, who has established himself as a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender this season, will attempt to play in the top-five matchup, given the magnitude of the game, which has College Football Playoff implications surrounding it, particularly for the Fighting Irish.
The Hurricanes and Fighting Irish are set for a 7:30 p.m. ET
kickoff on Saturday.
