Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw is making a game out of its festival lineup drop on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The Southern California festival that has previously featured artists such as Drake, Doechii, A$AP Rocky and more is just several months away. Tickets went on sale earlier this year, leaving attendees with the big question of any music festival: Who is performing?
Well, festivalgoers can find out on Aug. 18, but only if they’re willing to put some brain power into it first.
That’s because Camp Flog Gnaw is having people unscramble the lineup on the festival’s website. Users can click on various given letters to unscramble a name in response to a provided clue.
For example, Grammy-winning rapper and producer Future appears to be on the festival
lineup based on the clue that says, “not the past, not the present.” Isaiah Rashad, who released his acclaimed album “It’s Been Awful” earlier this year, appears to be on the lineup, too, based on the clue that “their first job was at the Southern version of Carl’s Jr.” In articles from about a decade ago, LA Weekly and Fader reported that Rashad worked at Hardee’s.
Another possible performer is Audrey Nuna, based on a clue that says the voice of Mira from Huntrix, referring to the fictional girl group from “KPop Demon Hunters.”
As some Instagram users shared the names of artists they’ve uncovered on Camp Flog Gnaw’s post, other users were less enthusiastic about the game.
“Someone unscramble it and post it for me,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Not another puzzle ugh,” another Instagram user commented.
