More than 77,000 Texas customers were without power Wednesday morning, Sept. 2, as Tropical Depression Edouard continued to impact the state with gusty winds and heavy rain.
Outages were concentrated across East Texas, with Jefferson and Hardin counties accounting for the largest share of customers without electricity.

As of 8 a.m. on Sept. 2, 10 counties are currently being impacted by outages, according to the outage tracker Poweroutage.us.
Here's a look at how many customers are being impacted in each county:

- Polk County — 9,751
- Orange County — 8,447
- Tyler County — 7,751
- Liberty County — 1,457
- San Jacinto County — 534
- Trinity County — 207
- Angelina County — 300

Xcel Energy
The electricity provider currently does not allow
reports online, according to the website.
"Because we are experiencing a high volume of requests, we cannot process your report at this time. Please call 1-800-895-4999," the website states.
Entergy

"As of 6:30 p.m., there are approximately 49,600 customers without power due to strong winds, lightning, and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Edouard," the company website states. "Entergy crews will immediately begin assessing damage to equipment and facilities to determine the safest way to restore power to our communities. Estimated restoration times will be provided as soon as possible and will depend on the severity of damage and weather conditions.
"Certain types of work, such as repairs requiring the use of bucket trucks, cannot be safely completed when winds exceed 35 miles per hour. As soon as conditions are safe, Entergy crews will work in multiple shifts to provide 24-hour coverage, restoring power across the service area."
