Former Las Vegas judge and reality TV star Jackie Glass has died. She was 70.
Glass died in Las Vegas on Friday, Aug. 28, according to TMZ, which was first to report her death.
Her daughter Rachel Wolfson confirmed her death via Facebook with a photo of them together.
"Rip my rock, I don’t know how I’ll do this life without you, I love you so much mommy Jackie Glass, I’ll see you again someday," Wolfson wrote
.The former Clark County, Nevada, judge was known for hosting Season 2 of "Swift Justice" after Georgia prosecutor Nancy Grace hosted Season 1. The arbitration-based reality court show followed actual cases involving small-claims disputes from 2010 to 2012.
When she joined the show for Season 2, she already had a reputation because she sentenced O.J. Simpson to 33 years in prison in 2008 following his convictions for armed robbery and kidnapping in connection with a 2007 Vegas hotel confrontation.
Before joining the series, Glass served eight years on Nevada's Eighth Judicial District Court, where she oversaw civil and criminal cases. She was elected to the District Court in 2002 and retired from the bench in 2011.
Las Vegas mayor shares tribute for Judge Jackie Glass
Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley shared a tribute for Glass on X, saying she is heartbroken and feels like "I have lost a sister."
"We both started practicing law close to the same time and over the last 50 years I have been amazed to see everything she accomplished," Berkley wrote. "The city of Las Vegas is sending good thoughts and love to Steve Wolfson, our colleague Municipal Court Judge Rebecca Wolfson and all of Jackie's friends and family."
U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., also offered condolences, writing, "Judge Glass was an inspiring role model who spent her life fighting for justice for others," according to the Las Vegas Review–Journal.
She is survived by her husband, Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson, as well as her two daughters, Rachel and Las Vegas Municipal Judge Rebecca Wolfson.
