The Golden State Valkyries are one victory away from advancing to the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs, while it’s win-or-go-home time for the Dallas Wings.

2 Valkyries and No. 7 Wings tips off on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

The Valkyries won the series opener at home in San Francisco’s Chase Center on Sunday night by putting forth its best offensive performance in franchise history, scoring a single-game high in points in the dominant 104-80 victory. Cecilia Zandalasini scored 22 points, Tiffany Hayes had 21 off the bench and Gabby Williams added 20. Golden State also tied a team record for most 3-pointers made in a single game with 18.

Meanwhile, Paige Bueckers’ superb performance for the Wings — 21 points on a near-perfect 9-of-10 shooting — was overshadowed by her team’s pile of mistakes and lack of offensive firepower.

After leading by a single point at the end of the first quarter, the Valkyries uncorked their offense in the second, breaking off a 28-8 run to take a commanding 21-point lead. Golden State would go on to lead by as much as 36 points.

The Valkyries are now 4-0 against the Wings this year.

Should the Wings win on Wednesday at home, the series will advance to a decisive Game 3 on Friday back in San Francisco.
