Steve Sarkisian and Texas may be getting some help back on the defensive side.
Star edge rusher Colin Simmons was listed as questionable on the initial SEC player availability report that was released on Wednesday ahead of the Longhorns' Week 10, top-20 matchup against Missouri.
Texas, looking for its first three-game win streak since the start of the season, and Missouri are set for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday.
Simmons has been out with an apparent lower-body injury that he sustained in the fourth quarter against Florida at the end of a play that saw him stay on the ground, showing noticeable pain, back on Saturday, Oct. 17 in the midst of the Longhorns' two-game losing skid.
Texas came in at No. 7 in the first College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday, which would give the Longhorns a first-round home game in the playoffs should the season have ended after Week 9. The Longhorns were one of five SEC teams included in the projected 12-team CFP bracket.

Colin Simmons injury update
Simmons was listed as questionable on Texas' initial SEC player availability report on Wednesday for Saturday's game vs. Missouri.
He's missed each of Texas' last two games against Ole Miss and Mississippi State due to his injury.
He sustained the injury on Oct. 17 during Texas' loss to Florida at the end of a play. Simmons left the field with assistance from Texas' medical staff in the fourth quarter after spending time on the sideline and was later carted to the locker room.
Though he was ruled out last week against Mississippi State, Simmons appeared to have gotten some work in on the field prior to the game.
