Arizona Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love is being used to help out pass protection over running routes, head coach Mike LaFleur told AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.
"I wasn't too confident in terms of getting into some of those 'scat' protections and stuff like that and five-man protections," LaFleur said. "We wanted to have that extra body in there. There were a couple of times where I wanted to get him on some choice routes and stuff like that, but like I said I didn't feel confident that we were going to be able to execute at the level that we needed to."
Why it Matters: Love has just 11 catches for 36 yards and a touchdown through the air this season. He's the RB24 in PPR leagues, which is a steep contrast from the low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 he was
selected in fantasy drafts as. If the offensive line continues to be an issue, and Tyler Allgeier remains as steady as he has been, there doesn't look to be much improvement coming soon. Love will be an RB2 against the Los Angeles Rams, and Allgeier will be a flex candidate.
