Esteemed golf brand Callaway has officially cut ties with YouTube group Good Good Golf following the group's controversial advertisement promoting a new driver collaboration between the companies.
The video in question portrayed a man shoving a woman to the ground as she attempted to grab the driver from his bag. What was meant to be an homage to one of 2026's biggest movies of the year, Obsession, quickly drew the ire of golf fans everywhere as it appeared that the company was promoting abuse.
On Wednesday, Callaway CEO Chip Brewer released a statement expressing their apologies for approving such a video.
The statement read, "The content was inappropriate and does not reflect our values. To be clear: we are unequivocally against discrimination,
domestic violence, or threatening behavior of any kind.
Good Good Golf is in hot water after their horror movie-esque ad for Callaway received backlash for a scene where Founder Garrett Clark shoves golfer Alexis Miestowski.

"As soon as we recognized the seriousness of the issue, it was escalated appropriately, and the video was immediately removed."
On Thursday, Callaway ended the brand partnership. The company released another statement, saying, "Over the last several days, we have reflected deeply on the hurt and disappointment caused by the video we reposted. We heard from individuals who shared personal experiences related to violence against women, and their stories were powerful reminders that this issue touches the lives of far too many people. Unequivocally, violence against women is unacceptable and should never be trivialized, normalized or used as entertainment."
Callaway also noted that it will be donating $1 million to various organizations helping to "prevent violence against women, provide resources to survivors and advance education and awareness efforts."
