Browns vs Ravens expert picks
Adam Kaufman: Ravens 27, Browns 17
The Ravens won without Lamar Jackson last week. Getting him back would make this assignment considerably less complicated. Assuming that ankle cooperates, I like Baltimore to remind Cleveland there's a difference between hanging around the division race and being the best team in it. The Browns allowed eight sacks against the Jets. That's a tough way to conduct business, especially when Derrick Henry is waiting on the other sideline to turn your stalled possessions into a long afternoon. Cleveland can keep this close early, but I don't trust its offense to consistently stay ahead of the chains. Jackson doesn't need to be elite here. Protect the ball, lean on Henry and let Baltimore's
defense handle the rest.
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz: Ravens 26, Browns 14
After the Browns allowed eight sacks and couldn't get their running game going, the offense could be at something of a crossroads. As he faces his former team, Todd Monken will be under plenty of pressure to conjure some solutions for an attack that otherwise won't save itself. Cleveland will be facing a Ravens defense that could be in for a boost as it prepares to get Trey Hendrickson back. Lamar Jackson's status will obviously loom large here, but Baltimore has the ingredients to squeeze out a win even if it remains shorthanded.
Nicholas Brinkerhoff: Ravens 28, Browns 23
It was a fun run for the Browns, but the clock is about to strike midnight on this Cinderella story. After Deshaun Watson came crashing back down to earth in Week 5, Cleveland is going to get a dose of reality when the Ravens come to town in Week 6. Baltimore is on another level, unlike any team the Browns have played since Week 1. The Ravens should win this based on talent alone, especially with some injury concerns at key spots for Cleveland.
