New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough completed 35 of 56 passes for 410 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions, and he added eight rushing yards on four carries while he was sacked five times.
Shough's passing yardage was easily a career high, as his previous best was 333 yards in a win at Tennessee last season on Dec. 28, 2025. It was just the third 300-yard game of his career.

Huddle Up: Shough threw up an impressive passing yardage total, nearly doubling up the more heralded fantasy option Jared Goff of the Lions, as the Detroit quarterback had just 206 passing yards. We need to see more from Shough before bumping him up the fantasy rankings too high. However, right now he can
be considered a QB2 in most fantasy leagues, especially if he keeps jelling with wide receiver Chris Olave the way he did Sunday.
