After 15 years on the air, "The Voice" has recruited a new star.

The NBC competition show announced on Tuesday, Aug. 4, that its 31st season will feature celebrities not only in its coaching panel but also in its contestant pool, marking an all-new format for the series.

Joe Jonas will make his coaching debut in Season 31's "The Voice: Celebrity," joined by Queen Latifah and Riley Green, who were previously announced as new coaches on Season 30. Keke Palmer will also flex new muscles as she takes over hosting duties from longtime emcee Carson Daly.

According to NBC, "The Voice: Celebrity" will tap "a wide range of celebrities – actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars." The cast will be released at a later

date.

Riley Green, Queen Latifah and Joe Jonas will be the coaches on Season 31 of

Jonas isn't a stranger to the franchise; he previously coached contestants on the Australian version of "The Voice" in 2018.

However, Jonas' younger brother, Nick Jonas, beat him to the red chair in the U.S. version of the show – the "Jealous" singer was a coach on season 18 (2020) and 20 (2021). Eldest brother Kevin Jonas made an appearance as a Team Nick battle advisor alongside Joe Jonas in 2020 but has yet to take a spin in the chair.
