Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud left the preseason game against the Golden State Warriors during the second quarter on Saturday.
Raynaud suffered an apparent injury setting an on-ball screen for rookie Darius Acuff Jr. He went down on the Chase Center court, holding his right knee.
Raynaud stayed on the hardwood for some time before EMTs and Kings medical staff wheeled out a wheelchair and Raynaud was helped onto it and rolled into the locker room. He gave the San Francisco crowd a wave before he went into the tunnel.
Raynaud exited the game with 2:32 remaining in the first half. The Kings trailed, 61-56, at halftime.
He finished with 10 points on 3-of-3 field
goal shooting. He also added six rebounds, a block and assist in nine minutes.
Raynaud is in his second year, looking to follow up a rookie campaign where he averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds on 57.1% field goal shooting. The 7-foot-1, 250-pound center earned an all-rookie second team selection. Raynaud was selected by Sacramento, out of Stanford, with the 42nd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
