Guess what day it is?
Actor Chris Sullivan revealed to his co-hosts and former TV co-stars, Mandy Moore and Sterling K. Brown, on the "That Was Us" podcast that he is the voice behind the camel in Geico's classic "Hump Day" advertisement.
"It's me. Thirteen years ago, I did that commercial...and the NFL just did a new one..." Sullivan stated. The NFL Kickoff commercial featured the insurance company's beloved camel character as well as sports commentators Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth.
"That ran, then they brought the old commercial back. I just went back in the studio doing a whole bunch of new commercials," he continued.
The news left both Moore and Brown shocked, saying they never knew of Sullivan's connection to the gig. Moore responded,
"That's amazing." Brown added, "That's the gift that keeps on giving."
'It's my biggest credit,' Sullivan says

During the conversation, Sullivan said the iconic camel is his "biggest credit," prompting Brown to burst out laughing. Moore chimed in: "Not the Emmy nominations for 'This Is Us'?" referring to his work as Toby Damon in the NBC drama series.
"I would say based on the number of people who've seen it. It's my biggest credit," Sullivan responded. "I can't believe we've never talked about that."
Geico'soriginal "Hump Day" commercial aired in 2013 and stars a camel named Caleb walking around an office, aggravating workers about the day of the week. The creators of the commercial's concept at the Martin Agency spoke to CBS Newsabout it.
"We were sort of focused on, let's do something in the office, let's do something you know that's surprising," Sean Riley said at the time. "And I think I said camel, and then it just kind of went from there."
