Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston underwent surgery on her right knee on Oct. 14, the team announced on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Boston, who earned a fourth consecutive WNBA All-Star selection in 2026, had arthroscopic surgery to repair the lateral meniscus. The surgery was performed by Dr. Corey Kendall, the team said. Boston will begin rehab with the Fever’s medical and performance team.
Boston, one of the Fever's Big 3 with Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, averaged 16.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals this season. The Fever finished the season with the No. 6 seed in the playoffs and were eliminated in the first round by the Las Vegas Aces.
The Fever and Boston agreed to a four-year contract extension through the league's EPIC
provision created in the new collective bargaining agreement, in April.
Boston's four-year deal is worth $6.3 million, the largest total salary in league history. She has made $1 million in 2026 and will earn 20% of the Fever's salary cap each season through 2029.
"I’m super blessed and grateful for this opportunity and to continue my journey here with the Fever. God is good!" Boston said when the deal was signed. "I’m excited for the future ahead for both myself and for our team, and I can’t wait to keep building upon everything we have accomplished so far. Go Fever!"
