Journey drummer Deen Castronovo has reportedly been rushed to the hospital.
The rock band was performing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Oct. 8, when the drummer had a medical emergency shortly after taking the stage, local outlet Tulsa World reported. Two songs into the performance, several of the band's members stepped off stage, with keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressing the audience.
"So we're going to see what happens as this progresses," he said, according to the outlet. "It's an unfortunate situation. We're very sorry. We're hoping it's only a delay. Don't worry. Have your prayers ready for Deen Castronovo, everybody. Thank you."
Minutes later, guitarist Neal Schon returned and revealed Castronovo would not be returning and was taken to the hospital.

The band's drum tech, Steve Toomey, filled in for the remainder of the show.
Castronovo, the Bad English alum who has played with Ozzy Osbourne and others, has been with the band since 1998, replacing former drummer Steve Smith. In 2015, he was fired from the band after his arrest for domestic violence, a case in which he later pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to four years of supervised probation and ordered to complete drug rehabilitation. He returned in 2021.
The current lineup also includes longtime members Schon, Cain, lead singer Arnel Pineda (since 2007), keyboardist Jason Derlatka (since 2020) and bassist Todd Jensen (since 2021).
The band has been on the Final Frontier Tour since February, which represents Cain's final tour with the band. The longtime keyboardist will exit the band after the 106-show tour, set to wrap on Nov. 28 in San Francisco.
