The schedule for the 2027 Women's World Cup is finally here.
On Thursday, FIFA announced the match schedule for next summer's World Cup in Brazil, which runs from June 24 to July 25. There will be 64 matches played in eight host cities.
As expected, the host nation Brazil begins its World Cup campaign at Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on June 24, before playing two other group-stage matches. Those games will be at Arena Itaquera in São Paulo on June 29, and at the Estádio Nacional in Brasília on July 4.
FIFA also revealed that all eight host cities will stage at least seven games, including one knockout game. The cities of Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador will host games through the round of 16, and Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza
will join São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro on the list of cities hosting quarterfinals.
São Paulo will also host one semifinal on July 20, and the third-place game (bronze final) on July 24. Rio de Janeiro is slated to host the second semifinal matchup on July 21, and the final on July 25.The Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro is only the third stadium to host both a FIFA World Cup final and a FIFA Women’s World Cup final, joining the now-demolished Råsunda Stadium in Solna, Sweden (1958 and 1995) and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California (1994 and 1999).
