Lawn trimmers sold at hardware stores, REI bicycles and dressers from Amazon have been recalled for product safety concerns.
Eight new product recalls were published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday, Oct. 8, including household items and toys sold at retailers like Ace, REI and Amazon.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission updates its list of product recalls every Thursday. Here's a closer look at some of this week's larger recalls.

What products are recalled this week?
DR Power Equipment Pilot and Premier Trimmer Mowers
DR Power Equipment has recalled more than 42,000 of its Pilot and Premier Trimmer Mowers because grass and debris can accumulate in the mower, ignite and pose a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn, according
to a CPSC recall report. As of Oct. 8, DR Power Equipment was aware of 19 reports of the mowers catching fire, including two reports of minor injuries, like blisters on hands and feet.

The recalled mowers were sold at Ace, TSC, Bomgaars, and other home improvement, hardware and independent power equipment stores nationwide and online on the DR Power Equipment website from November 2022 through July 2026 for between $380 to $550, according to the recall report. Included in the total were 340 units sold in Canada.
The recalled equipment is a walk-behind trimmer mower that is orange and black and has the DR Power logo on the top of the motor and frame above the cutter head, according to the recall report. The mower is labeled "Premier" or "Pro" on the side of the frame. Mowers with the following model numbers are affected by the recall:
Consumers should stop using the recalled mowers and contact DR Power Equipment for a free repair kit. If consumers have concerns about installing the repair kit, contact DR Power Equipment to schedule a free repair installation from an authorized dealer, according to the recall report.

Pacearth Swing Seats
Pacearth Direct has recalled about 110,000 swing seats because the seats, metal carabiners/quick links or webbing straps can break during use, posing a fall hazard, according to a CPSC recall report. As of Oct. 8, Pacearth Direct was aware of at least 30 reports of falls, resulting in nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries and bruising, the recall report states.
The recalled swing seats were sold on Amazon between May 2017 and June 2026 for between $27 and $57.

The U-type swing seats were sold in various colors, including green, blue, pink, red and turquoise, according to the recall report. The chain is coated in yellow plastic, and metal carabiners/quick links and yellow webbing straps were included to attach the swing to an outdoor swing set or tree branches. The seats were sold as a single unit or a pack of two.
Consumers should stop using the swing seat and contact Pacearth Direct for a full refund. Write "RECALLED" on the seat in permanent marker, take a photo of the seat, including the Pacearth logo and email the photo to recall@pacearth.com.
Romorgniz Six-Drawer Dressers
Zhangzhou Jinhao Sen Smart Home Co. has recalled more than 12,000 Romorgniz Six-Drawer Dressers because if not anchored to the wall, the dresser poses a tip-over hazard and can entrap children, according to a CPSC recall report. As of Oct. 8, the manufacturer was not aware of any injuries related to the recalled dresser.
The Romorgniz Six-Drawer Dressers were sold on Amazon between May 2025 and August 2026 for $100 to $170, according to the recall report.

The recalled wooden dressers were sold in white and black. They measure 27.6 inches wide, 15.6 inches long, 43.2 inches tall and weigh 73.3 pounds, according the recall report.
Consumers should stop using the dresser, if not anchored to the wall, and/or place them in an area that children cannot access. Contact Zhangzhou Jinhao Sen Smart Home Co. for a full refund. Write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the top, front and sides of the dresser. Remove all drawers and send photos of the dresser to romorgnizrecall@outlook.com. Then dispose of the dresser.
Onthewei Baby Bath Seats
Hubei Youhong Trading Co. has recalled more than 2,000 baby bath seats because they violate mandatory standards for infant bath seats, are unstable and can tip over in the bathtub, posing a risk of injury to death due to drowning, according to a CPSC recall report. As of Oct. 8, the manufacturer was unaware of any injuries related to the recall.
The recalled baby bath seats were sold on Amazon in April between $40 and $50.

The recalled baby bath seats were sold in gray, pink, blue and green. They have detachable restraint arms and suction arms on the bottom. The affected bath seats have the model number "MY002" and the date of manufacture is Jan. 10, 2026, according to the recall report. The model number and date are printed on the back of the seat.
Consumers should stop using the recalled baby bath seats and contact the Hubei Youhong Trading Co. for a full refund. Write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the front of the seat, disassemble it, cut the three suction cups off the underside and send a photo of the destroyed seat to onthewei@outlook.com. Then dispose of the seat.
Decathlon America Van Rysel GRVL AF Bicycles
Decathlon America has recalled more than 1,000 Van Rysel GRVL AF Bicycles because the bike's front lock nut can loosen during use, causing the front wheel to dislodge or loosen over time, posing a crash hazard, according to a CPSC report. As of Oct. 8, Decathlon was unaware of any injuries related to the recall.
The Van Rysel GRVL AF Bicycles were sold at REI Co-op stores and on the REI website between March 2025 and August 2026 for between $1,400 and $2,300, according to the recall report.

The recall affects Decathlon America's adult, multi-terrain gravel bicycles, designed for off-roading. The recalled bikes were sold in sizes extra small, small, medium, large and extra large and in colors graphite black, cream, granite pink and coriander brown. The recalled bikes' model numbers, SKUs and full product names are below.
Consumers should stop using the recalled bicycles and take them to the nearest REI Co-op for a free inspection and repair service.
