President Donald Trump will return to Texas to campaign for Republican Ken Paxton in the nationally watched U.S. Senate race, marking his fourth visit to the state this election.
Trump will head to Lubbock and Waco Oct. 27 to rally for Paxton in the final days before Election Day, as early voting is underway and the race between Paxton and Democrat James Talarico remains competitive.
The Republican National Committee announced Trump’s latest Texas trip on Oct. 19. The president has previously traveled to Denton on Oct. 1, San Antonio on Oct. 7 and Dallas in September for the Republican Midterm Convention.
Trump’s return comes as recent polling shows a close Senate contest. A University of Houston poll put Talarico ahead of Paxton, 48% to 46%, within
the poll’s margin of error.
Early voting began Oct. 19 in Texas.

Trump to hold Lubbock, Waco rallies ahead of midterm elections
Trump will visit Texas on Oct. 27 — a week before Election Day — to rally Republican support with two stops.
He will first stop in Lubbock at 2:30 p.m. and then head to Waco for a 6 p.m. rally.
